Getting started on Solana
Choose your wallet and token, launch a market, fund an offer and recover its unfilled balance.
Transfer-fee release and owner activation
The v3 upgrade uses the existing Solana program address. It does not create a replacement market system. The website will enable its capabilities only after the exact new program bytes and upgrade authority match the reviewed release. Until the upgrade is finalized and verified, v2 restrictions continue to apply.
For compatible Token-2022 TransferFeeConfig mints, the candidate reviews gross token movement, the issuer’s transfer fee and net receipt separately. A funded sell offer deposits enough gross tokens to leave the listed quantity in escrow after its deposit tax. Fills debit the listed gross quantity and show the buyer’s net tokens after the transfer fee. Price comparisons must use those net tokens. Refunds can also incur a token transfer fee. Sidelot’s buyer trading fee and network fees are separate.
A newly funded taxed buy offer records the maker’s maximum transfer-tax rate and token cap. Later fills must stay within that immutable ceiling; a token issuer cannot raise the tax beyond the maker’s agreed bound and still consume the funded quote. Each taker also reviews the current exact fee before signing. Unsupported transfer hooks, confidential transfers and other unsupported extensions remain blocked. Compatibility is checked per mint and is not an endorsement of the token.
The first-twenty-market fee benefit requires a separate one-time owner activation after the program upgrade. The owner reviews the campaign cutoff, eligible existing activations, excluded earlier registrations, a fixed snapshot hash and account rent. Only the confirmed immutable registry and a market’s verified founding flag establish the 100% launcher fee policy. The standard 50/50 split remains for other markets. This fee benefit is separate from the $25 launch reward and its manual eligibility review.
Review the v3 source, ABI supplement, build inputs and release manifest. These files describe the reviewed release, not proof that a wallet upgrade has completed.
Funded OTC on Solana mainnet
Sidelot supports funded OTC trading on Solana mainnet. Choose Solana in the network selector, then open markets or launch a market. The website checks the deployed escrow program before enabling new actions; Product status shows current availability.
New offers use funded escrow only. The maker deposits before the offer opens, so a taker can fill without the maker returning to sign. Older wallet-held records are retained for history, reconciliation and eligible cancellation.
Bring the right wallet and mint
Connect a Solana-compatible wallet and keep SOL available for transaction fees and account rent, including when paying in USDC. The verified v2 release supports original SPL tokens and plain or metadata-only Token-2022 mints. Check Product status for the current capability. Payment is native SOL or canonical mainnet USDC (EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v). The base and payment assets must differ.
Check the exact mint, not just a name, ticker or logo. A community or team label is self-declared and does not verify the issuer. V2 supports plain Token-2022 mints and mints with only MetadataPointer and/or TokenMetadata. The v3 release adds compatible TransferFeeConfig tokens only when its exact deployed bytes are verified; uploading a candidate alone does not activate that capability. Transfer hooks and other unsupported extensions remain blocked. Check the current verified program capabilities on Product status before trading. Mint and freeze authorities can still affect original SPL tokens. Switching networks does not bridge assets.
Launch a market and post an offer
- Choose community or solo and enter the exact existing mint. Creating a market does not create a token.
- Review token identity, market details and the fixed fee-recipient wallet, then sign registration.
- As market owner, approve the separate on-chain market activation within 24 hours of registration. Unactivated markets with no successful transactions are automatically removed from public listings after that deadline. Registration alone does not fund anything.
- Choose buy or sell, SOL or USDC, quantity, total price and expiry. Review any price reference as an estimate.
- Fund the order: sell offers deposit tokens; buy offers deposit the payment amount plus the full buyer-fee reserve.
- Wait for verified finalized funding before sharing the open offer.

Fill part or all of an offer
Open an offer, choose a quantity up to its remaining balance and review the fixed payment, token receipt and fees. The taker signs the fill; the program exchanges assets and routes fees atomically. The maker does not need to sign again. A submitted signature is not a completed trade; wait for finalized verification.
The buyer pays 0.50% of the agreed SOL or USDC amount: nominally 0.25% to the market fee wallet and 0.25% to Sidelot, with smallest-unit rounding. Network fees and account rent are separate. Robinhood’s LOT holder waiver and first-25 fee promotion do not apply on Solana. See fee accounting.
Cancel or reclaim what remains
Valid partial fills leave the remaining assets funded. To change a price, cancel and reclaim the remainder before posting a replacement. Expiry stops new fills but does not automatically refund the deposit; a recovery transaction is still required.
Use the maker wallet and the original order’s cancel/reclaim control. Refunds return to the recorded maker. Token-vault rent may be reclaimed, while market and terminal order state remain allocated. Issuer freezes or unavailable chain access can delay recovery. Read escrow recovery and the deployed program and review status.
