Activity and fee accounting
Track your orders and receipts, understand fee routing, and read earnings correctly.
Solana reference
This chapter covers Solana. For the main Robinhood Chain network, see the Robinhood guide. Wallets, token addresses and settlement mechanics are specific to each network.
What appears in My activity
Connect a wallet and open My activity. The dashboard organizes the markets, orders, trade attempts and fee records associated with that address. Use the original owner wallet for market or order controls. If your market pays a different fee-recipient wallet, connect that recipient to see its fee activity.
The application database records listings, off-chain order status and reconciled transaction activity. On-chain receipts determine whether a settlement actually completed. A row labelled submitted or awaiting approval is not spendable fee income.
The buyer pays 0.50%
On completed trades, the buyer pays a nominal 0.50% fee on the quote amount. Half goes to the market’s fixed fee wallet and half to Sidelot’s platform wallet. The seller receives the agreed quote amount before their own applicable network costs.
For a 100 USDC trade between distinct wallets, the seller receives 100.00 USDC, the market recipient receives 0.25 USDC, and Sidelot receives 0.25 USDC. The buyer’s nominal debit is 100.50 USDC. The taker separately pays the transaction fee and required token-account rent. If the taker is the seller, those network costs are the seller’s responsibility.
Fees are transferred within settlement. There is no separate claim step for these routed fees, and the dashboard is not a custodial withdrawable balance. The fee recipient may be a trading party; a payment to your own wallet affects your net cost without changing the nominal fee calculation.
Rounding and minimum amounts
SOL settles in lamports and tokens in integer base units. The quote amount rounds up when the requested quantity and unit price do not produce an exact base-unit value. The total fee also rounds up; the market receives half rounded down and the platform receives any indivisible remainder.
Wallet-held fills calculate these amounts for that fill. Funded orders calculate cumulative entitlements and transfer the difference from prior fills, so valid partial fills reconcile to the original deposit. Very small transactions can have an effective percentage different from 0.50%. A wallet-held fill and a funded order’s original total quote must each be at least 100 quote base units; this is not a 100 SOL or 100 USDC minimum. A funded partial fill can be smaller, provided its quote delta is positive.
Do not estimate final settlement by rounding the numbers shown in a chart. Review the transaction amount preview. See Fees for the public fee summary and contract arithmetic for funded-order formulas.
For a supported token transfer fee, the token program computes min(maximumFee, ceil(grossUnits × basisPoints / 10000)) in atomic base-token units for each transfer. The buyer receives gross units minus that fee. Per-transfer rounding and caps mean splitting a trade can change its total token fee. A trade with zero net tokens for the buyer is rejected.
Read the dashboard as recent activity
The current dashboard’s recorded earnings use a bounded recent history: the latest 100 related wallet-held trade attempts and 100 related escrow operations, then filtered for completed fee-recipient activity. Pending attempts and non-fill operations can occupy those history windows, so fewer than 100 qualifying fee records may appear. It is not a complete lifetime accounting export and is not a forecast of future earnings.
Posting an order, launching a market, seeing a high quoted volume, or preparing an API request does not generate revenue. Only completed, reconciled trades count. Keep transaction signatures and use on-chain records for an independent reconciliation of balances.
Network fees and rent
Sidelot’s trading fee is separate from Solana network fees and account rent. A settlement may create associated token accounts for recipients who have not held that mint before. A failed on-chain transaction can still cost a network fee.
Funded escrow also creates market, order and possibly token-vault accounts. The token vault can be closed through a refund or reclaim operation, returning its rent to the maker. Market and terminal order state remain allocated in this program version. Do not assume every deposit’s account rent is fully refundable.
