A market for direct agreements

Sidelot lets holders and teams launch a market for an existing coin on Robinhood Chain. Solana is also supported as a separate beta network. Buyers and sellers post their own terms, find a willing counterparty, and settle the agreed exchange. A market is a listing and a place to coordinate orders; launching one does not create a token, mint supply, or add liquidity to an AMM.

A direct trade does not pass through an AMM pool or change that pool’s reserves. That avoids the direct pool impact of routing that particular order through a swap pool. It does not guarantee a stable token price, stop other holders from selling, or prevent a counterparty from trading elsewhere afterward. Compare the full price, trading fees, network costs, and likelihood of finding a counterparty.

New here? Open Take tour in the main navigation, or Take the Sidelot tour from the mobile menu. The introduction explains launching your own market, buying and selling, wallet approvals and fees, then links to the right next step. It can be skipped and replayed.

You can participate as a trader, a market launcher, or both. A launcher selects a fee-recipient wallet. That wallet receives the market’s share only when trades settle successfully.

Know which part of the product you are entering

Robinhood Chain is the main network. Start with the Robinhood guide for market registration, wallet approvals, orders and fees. The contract status section identifies whether its contracts have been deployed and activated.

Solana beta remains a separate option for market browsing and wallet-held trading. Solana market creation requires the launch password and wallet authorization. Its v1 listing API continues to use Solana addresses and signatures.

Always check the selected network and exact token address. A listing on one network does not automatically exist on another, and a network switch does not bridge assets. Product status reports availability.

Before you connect

  1. Use https://usesidelot.com and check the address before approving a wallet request.
  2. Choose the correct network. For Robinhood Chain, use a compatible EVM wallet and ETH for gas. Solana uses its own wallet connection and SOL for network costs.
  3. Find the exact token contract or mint address from a source you trust. A name or logo is not a unique identifier.
  4. Review the market’s launcher, role, fee recipient, token address and links. A team label is self-declared, not identity verification.
  5. Read the token and quote-asset support for your selected network. Keep enough funds for the trade and separate transaction costs.

Know what your wallet is approving

Connection shares your public address and selected network. It does not transfer tokens. Token approval on Robinhood Chain authorizes a particular contract to transfer an ERC-20 amount. Signing an offer authorizes the exact terms shown in the wallet. Sending a transaction can register a market, fund or execute an order, or cancel it. Each action has its own effect.

Read the network, contract, amounts and recipients before approving. A submitted transaction is not a successful completed trade until its receipt is verified. Never provide a seed phrase, private key or wallet password. Disconnecting your wallet does not cancel an already valid signed offer or submitted transaction.

Robinhood uses EVM approvals and typed-data signatures. The Solana beta uses distinct message authorizations and two-party transaction signatures.
